It’s that time of year again! It’s Prime Day, which means two days of even more Amazon deals for Prime members, and two days of me reminding myself that I don’t get paid over the summer, so I need to chill.
That being said, I spent a good chunk of Monday online, talking myself in and out of deals, comparing prices, reading reviews, and filling and emptying my cart. At the end of the day, I ended up buying a couple Deals of the Day, a few items with slashed prices, and a few items not on sale. Here’s my roundup from this year’s Amazon Prime Day:
Striped Loose Midi Dress with Pockets ($17) – at one point I had literally 8 dresses in my cart, but I finally talked myself out of all but one. I’ve been emptying my closet like crazy and listing tons of stuff on my Poshmark, so I don’t really need to be adding 8 new dresses to my wardrobe, no matter how cute they are. I stuck with this dress because I like the neutral colors (it comes in 7 colors), and it’s long enough and loose-fitting enough that I feel like I can comfortably wear this in the classroom when school starts back up.
Nonstick 5QT Sautee Pan ($20) – Since we just moved, we’re realizing there are a few things that we need to replace. One of these things is our big saute pan. The nonstick is wearing off after over a decade of use, so I threw this jumbo pan in the cart. I’m so excited to use it! It’s also dishwasher safe, which I love because let’s face it, I’m lazy when it comes to doing dishes.
Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner ($16) – This is my all-time favorite eyeliner, so I was super excited to see that it was a Deal of the Day. This eyeliner has serious staying power and doesn’t smudge. Normally on Amazon for $22, this price was such a deal that I snagged two!
Amazon Basics Curtain Rod in Nickel ($14/$18) – Believe it or not, I bought three curtain rods today. our new place has some pretty big windows (I’m SO excited for natural light!) in some heavy traffic areas, so I’ve been pricing curtains and curtain rods since we moved. I was really excited to see these listed as part of the Prime Deals because these prices beat even Homegoods! I can’t wait to get these up with some sheers in the living room and kitchen.
Fruit Infuser Waterbottle ($8) – I don’t know about you, but I seriously struggle to get my water in each day. I’ve been thinking about getting a fruit infuser so I can flavor my water and drink more, and I’m glad I waited until Prime Day to throw this one into my cart. It’s made from BPA-free, shatter-proof material and has a leak-proof lid. The bottle comes in 5 colors, and the bottle fits in standard cup holders.
One More Thing About Prime Day Deals…
Lots of other sites and sellers jump on the Prime Day train, and it’s so awesome because we all win. Macy’s is having a Black Friday in July Sale and H&M is having a massive summer sale… I had to avoid their websites altogether and ignore the sale alert emails piling up in my inbox.
I did, however, cave in when it came to the Francesca’s Prime Time Sale… I couldn’t resist 50% off clearance items, $20 shirts, and $25 dresses. I think I’ve just about finished my back to school shopping between my Amazon and Francesca’s haul (and some jeans I snagged earlier this spring from both Old Navy and Macy’s).
Another site on the Prime Deals bandwagon is a personal favorite of mine, Highland Bluff Studio. They’re an amazing candle shop with nerdy and bookish products. Their fragrances are incredible, and they just listed new merch (bath bombs, magnets, and other gifts) to their website. They’re offering free shipping for Prime Day, and you can save on all of your orders between now and the end of August when you use my code KARISSA10.
Earn While You Shop!
I always always ALWAYS check Rakuten (formerly Ebates) before shopping online. I use it everywhere from Amazon, to Orbtiz and earn cash back when I shop. Take a second to check there for coupon codes and chances to get cash back when you shop!
